Hi all,
I was a pupil from 64-70.
My first job on leaving school was working in an ice-cream parlour, the second was a labourer in the Queenborough bottle works.
I joined the Kent Police in 1972 and left in 1986 to take up an offer in industry.
I founded a hair extension business in 1992 and sold it in 2006. The brand remains the UK market leader. I am now retired.
I have a collection of 6 vintage aircraft within The Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden, Beds and can be seen display-flying there during the flying season.
I also operate a helicopter from home so I guess I can be described as an aviation enthusiast.
I also enjoy pottering around in my tractor and generally working on my land.
I have many memories of my school days, not least getting floored by a heavy- bible wielding George Hardy for cribbing ( not guilty – last minute rush to copy from rough to neat just before the morning bell.
I was no great academic and never made it to the sixth form.

Greetings to everyone,
Having left Borden in 1966, I cobbled my way around engineering and sales & marketing, scooping up loads of experience and a few nebulous qualifications on the way, some of which have actually proved to be quite useful!
In late 2002, my wife (Sue) and myself lobbed a few things in a wheel-barrow and trundled down here to mid-Devon to live, where it has been essential to learn how to dodge the cow-pats in the road.
I now run my own private tuition business (www.holsworthytuition.co.uk) concentating mainly on ‘A’ Level Maths & Physics.
Overall, I am very content with my lot.
Sue continues to tolerate my dubious and questionable sense of humour, and the house is all the more chaotic for the presence of Tessa, our nutty Labrador puppy.
All the best

I am also still in e-mail and/or Christmas Card contact with Norman Revell, Malcolm Cordle. Alan Henderson-Smith, Mike Banks, Mike Burgess, Les Richards & Peter Jeffery amongst a few others.

With regard to Christopher Barr (his parents had the sweet shop at the bottom of Ufton Lane/Hollybank Hill)
Two years ago in my job as a Tour Guide/Driver in the Daintree National Park Rainforest some 160kms north of Cairns in North Queensland, Australia I picked up his elder brother who left UK in the 50′s to serve in the Rhodesian Police Force – when we worked out we were both from Sittingbourne – well.
It seems Chris is living a sort of luxury life in the Caribean buying and selling luxury yachts. He always was a bit of a wheeler/dealer.
